Girl Guides Singapore Walkathon at Bishan Park II

Girl Guides Singapore (GGS) organised its 6th walkathon on 21 June 2008 (Saturday), at Bishan Park II. Involving over 4000 girls and young women ranging from age 8-80 years, the Walkathon was GGS’ biannual event which brings Brownies, Guides, Guiders, adult members together to celebrate Guiding. The Guest of Honour was Ms Kit Chan.

GGS continued to keep up with the times through the use of the new ZAP technology for the activities during the walkathon which included a fun-dress and lucky draw. Yellow Pages and Singapore Press Holdings sponsored some of the prizes which included 600 street directories and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
