Reflections on YA Induction and Renewal Of Promise

Before I attended the YA Induction, I had expected the 4 hours to pass very slowly and a lot of time wasted in getting to know people I'm probably never going to see again. However, the activities planned were actually very eye-opening and allowed me to see that Guiding doesn't just end when you leave secondary school. The enthusiasm and passion for Guides all the YAs displayed, young and old, shone through in all the activities we did and really made me feel like part of a big Guiding family. The reciting of our Promise was really meaningful and it reminded me once again that we ought to give our best in all that we do. The new YAs seem like a really fun bunch and I hope that we will all be more active at the HQ level in the future so that we can bring GGS to greater heights.
