Incentives (For Guider’s FAQ only)
|
|
11) Are there incentives for the cookie sales? How are the incentives calculated?
Yes! The incentive structure is as follows: 6 tins – 10 tins : $0.50 per tin; and 11 tins or more: $1.00 per tin Three worked examples are given below Example (1) The company has 10 girls. Total number of tins sold by the Guide company is 120 tins. Workings: Average number of tins sold per girl = 120 / 10 = 12 tins
Total incentive: 0 – 5 tins = $0 (1st tin - 5th tins = $0.00) 6-10 tins = $0.50 per tin (6th tin - 10th tin = 5 x $0.50 = $2.50) 11 tins & above = $1.00 (11th tin - 12th tins = 2 x $1.00 = $2.00) Total incentive = ($2 + $2.50) x 10 girls = $45.00 =================================================== Example 2
The company has 10 girls. The company sold a total of 99 tins
Workings: Average number of tins sold per girl = 99/10 = 9.9 tins
Total Incentive 0 – 5 tins = $0 (1st tin - 5th tins = $0.00) 6-10 tins = $0.50 per tin (6th tin to the 9.9th tin = 4.9 x $0.50 = $2.45) = $2.45 x 10 = $24.50 Total Incentive = $24.50 =================================================== Example 3
The company has 10 girls. The company sold a total of 134 tins. Workings: Average number of tins sold per girl = 134/10 = 13.4 tins Total incentive 0 – 5 tins = $0 (1st tin - 5th tins = $0.00) 6-10 tins = $0.50 per tin (6thth – 10th tin = 5 x $0.50 = $2.50) 11th tin onwards = $1.00 per tin (11th tin to the 13.4th tin = 3.4 x $1.00 = $3.40) Total Incentive = ($2.50 + $3.40) x 10 girls = $59.00
